Guwahati, Feb. 10 -- After AIMIM Chief Assaduddin Owaisi filed an FIR against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma seeking action against him over a social media post showing violent imagery targeting Muslims, the CM said he has no knowledge about any such video and added that he is ready to go to jail if needed.
Owaisi filed an FIR against Sarma in Hyderabad after the Assam unit of the BJP posted an AI-generated video showing the CM shooting at two men wearing skull caps from point-blank range. The video was, however, deleted later by the Assam unit of the saffron party.
