Ahmedabad, May 31 -- In a significant decision ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final, Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and elected to bowl first against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium here on Sunday.

Patidar said the pitch looked good and was unlikely to change much during the course of the match. He also recalled fond memories of playing at the venue and stressed the importance of staying focused on the present occasion.

"We'll bowl first. It's a pretty good wicket. Don't think it'll change much. We have to do our best to win this match. It's important to be in the present and control the controllables," Patidar said after the toss.
