New Delhi, Aug. 2 -- The Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) special foreign exchange swap facility has mobilised more than USD 40.8 billion in foreign currency inflows by July 31, underscoring strong investor participation in the central bank's initiative to strengthen the country's external sector.
Latest RBI data showed total inflows under the scheme reached USD 40.816 billion as of July 31, nearly double the USD 20.718 billion reported just two weeks earlier on July 17.
The increase of USD 20.098 billion, or about 97 per cent, reflects a sharp acceleration in fund mobilisation through the facility.
