Bhubaneswar, May 31 -- The Rayagada Railway Division of East Coast Railway will commence operations from June 1, 2026, marking a major step towards strengthening railway infrastructure, freight movement and economic development in South Odisha and adjoining regions.
The new division is expected to improve railway administration, enhance project monitoring and accelerate the execution of key railway projects across the region.
With a dedicated Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) stationed at Rayagada, coordination with State Government departments, district administrations, industries and local stakeholders is expected to become faster and more effective.
