Varanasi, May 14 -- Large public meetings were held in six assembly constituencies of Varanasi district on Wednesday to promote Jyotishpeethadhiswar Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati's "Gavishti (Cow Protection Religious War)."The attendees collectively chanted the Vedic mantra "Aham Hanmi Vritram Gavishtau" and pledged to protect cows.
