Mumbai, May 5 -- Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and senior BJP leader Girish Mahajan slammed Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday accusing him of being disconnected from political reality.
Praising the BJP's performance in West Bengal, Mahajan attributed the success to the relentless efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit ShahResponding to Raut's recent remarks, Mahajan used a local proverb ("Gira to bhi meri taang upar") to describe Raut's habit of acting superior despite political setbacks. "Raut has lost his senses. He sits at home and indulges in idle talk while our leaders are out on the field working for the people," Mahajan said.
