But the resignation demand against Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains over alleged paper leaks has brought three political rivals-the BJP, Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-together in targeting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government ahead of next year's Punjab Assembly elections.
BJP MPs on Tuesday staged a protest inside the Parliament premises, demanding Bains' resignation over alleged exam irregularities in Punjab. BJP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, a former AAP leader, led the protest.
