Chandigarh, April 7 -- In a significant resolution to the ongoing legal and social backlash surrounding the song 'Tatiiri', popular Bollywood rapper and singer Badshah appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) in Delhi on Tuesday to tender an unconditional apology. Accompanied by director Joban Sandhu, Mahavir Singh, and producer Hiten, the artist met with NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar following complaints that the song's lyrics and visual presentation were derogatory toward women.
During the hearing, the Commission expressed grave concerns regarding the portrayal of women in the track, labelling it an affront to their dignity.
