Ranchi, March 21 -- The Ranchi Press Club on Saturday expressed concern and condemned the alleged manhandling of journalists during a police action at the United News of India (UNI) office in New Delhi.
In a statement, the Press Club said journalists, including women, were allegedly forced out of their workplace by Delhi Police personnel without being allowed to collect their personal belongings.
It termed the incident disturbing and said such actions undermine press freedom and the dignity and safety of journalists.
