Ranchi, Oct. 21 -- The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has announced strict action against individuals or groups involved in the illegal marking of spaces and unauthorized recovery of money at ponds and ghats ahead of the Chhath Mahaparva celebrations.
In preparation for the grand festival of folk faith, the RMC is carrying out large-scale cleaning, beautification, and lighting works across the city's ponds and reservoirs to provide devotees with a clean, safe, and respectful environment for worship.
However, the corporation has recently observed that some anti-social elements have been writing names, neighborhood identifiers, or organizational tags on cleaned spaces, claiming them as private or reserved areas.
