Ranchi, Feb. 28 -- The Ranchi district administration has intensified the Mass Drug Administration campaign 2026 to eliminate filariasis, a disease that can cause lifelong disability if untreated.
Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri, the campaign aims to ensure 100 per cent coverage of the targeted population with anti-filarial medicines.
Deputy Development Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania has directed officials to ensure that no eligible person is left out. Distribution must be completed within the stipulated timeline.
Officials failing to perform their duties on time will face strict action, including issuance of show cause notices.
