Ranchi, June 13 -- Jharkhand BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu on Saturday demanded strict action against officials following the death of four persons in an alleged illegal mining incident in Ramgarh district.

Reacting to the deaths reported from an abandoned mine in the Chapri-Bumri area, Sahu alleged administrative negligence and sought accountability from district authorities.

He demanded registration of a criminal case against the Ramgarh Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, alleging failure to curb illegal mining activities in the district.
