New Delhi, Aug. 16 -- Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh on Sunday launched a wide-ranging attack on the Narendra Modi government, accusing it of diverting attention from political setbacks over delimitation and women's reservation, avoiding accountability in Parliament and applying "double standards" when faced with criticism.
Ramesh rejected the government's allegation that the Opposition was responsible for disruptions in Parliament, saying the onus of ensuring the smooth functioning of the House rested primarily with the government.
