Hyderabad, Sept. 20 -- BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao on Sunday visited the renowned Balapur Ganesha pandal in Hyderabad and offered special prayers on the occasion of Ganesh Navaratri.
Speaking to the media, Rao said the Ganesh celebrations in Hyderabad had gained nationwide recognition, with thousands of devotees participating every year.
He said the festival, popularised across the country by Lokmanya Tilak, had become a symbol of unity.
He appreciated the Balapur festival committee for its arrangements and praised this year's pandal, designed on the lines of the Puri Jagannath Temple.
