Hyderabad, July 15 -- Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Wednesday accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of trying to claim sole credit for the proposed Warangal (Mamnoor) Airport while ignoring the role played by the Central Government in reviving the project.
Addressing a press conference, Ramchander Rao said the BJP welcomed any development project that benefits Telangana.
Still, he asserted that the Chief Minister had a responsibility to present the complete facts regarding the airport's progress.
He said the Mamnoor airstrip was originally built during the British era about 130 years ago and recalled that a feasibility report prepared by RITES in 2011 during the UPA government was not acted upon between 2011 and 2014.
