Ayodhya, June 29 -- All eight accused in the Ram Temple donations theft case appeared in court via video conferencing from jail on Monday, and their judicial custody was extended for another 14 days.

The case was heard in the court of Additional Sessions Judge/Special Judge (Prevention of Corruption) Court No. 1 Rajat Verma, in the Ayodhya District Court.

The hearing lasted for about 30 minutes.

The police was expected to seek remand of the accused but they did not move an application for this in the court.

Sources said police will seek remand after investigating the case through different angles.

The next hearing will be held on July 13 and until then, the accused will remain in jail.
