Ayodhya, June 29 -- The Ayodhya Bar Association has taken a tough stand against the accused arrested in the Ram Mandir donations case.
A special meeting of the Bar Association Executive on Monday unanimously resolved that no lawyer associated with the Bar will represent the accused in this case. It was also decided to form a special team of lawyers to strengthen the prosecution.
Presiding over the meeting held in the Bar Association auditorium in the court premises, Bar Association President Kalika Prasad Mishra stated that any lawyer who represents the accused contrary to the Association's decision will be fined Rs five lakh. Failure to deposit the stipulated amount will result in the termination of the Bar Association's membership.
