Bengaluru, Jan. 20 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday appointed senior leaders to steer its campaign for the upcoming Greater Bengaluru Corporation elections, signalling a strategic push ahead of highly contested local polls.
Ram Madhav, former national general secretary, has been named Election In-charge, while former Rajasthan State President Satish Poonia and Maharashtra MLA Sanjay Upadhyay will serve as Election Co-Incharges.
The appointments, announced by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh, take immediate effect. Copies of the order have been circulated to the State Incharge and State President of Karnataka, as well as the party's national President and national General Secretary (Organisation).
