New Delhi, July 30 -- The Rajya Sabha is set to take up the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, for consideration and passing on Thursday, a day after the legislation was passed by the Lok Sabha following a heated debate marked by sharp exchanges between the Treasury and Opposition benches over examination reforms, paper leaks and accountability.
According to the List of Supplementary Business issued for the Rajya Sabha, union Minister Jitendra Singh will move that the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, as passed by the Lok Sabha, be taken into consideration. He will also move that the Bill be passed by the Upper House.
