Ramgarh (Jharkhand), April 16 -- The district administration on Thursday began removing encroachments from the Chhinnamastika temple complex in Rajrappa following directions of the Jharkhand High Court, affecting 254 traders, officials said.

Many of the identified traders vacated their shops voluntarily ahead of the drive, while authorities deployed police personnel and magistrates to ensure the operation proceeded without disruption.

Sub-divisional officer Anurag Kumar Tiwari said the action was being carried out in compliance with court orders to improve facilities and streamline management of the temple premises.
