Mumbai, Oct. 16 -- Actor Rajkummar Rao will accompany former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly to some of his childhood Durga Puja pandals in Kolkata on Mahashtami, bringing the upcoming biopic of the cricketer closer to the city's festive celebrations.
Rao is playing Ganguly in the upcoming biopic "Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story", directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg.
Audiences have been excited about the film ever since its announcement. The film's team is preparing to make its first major public appearance in Kolkata on the occasion of Maha Ashtami. During this time, Rao and Ganguly will visit various puja pandals in South Kolkata to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga.
