Jaipur, March 21 -- Rajasthan Government has turned down Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's demand for payment on account of royalty for the water share the former availed under inter-state water agreements since 1920, announced in a press conference on Friday.
Addressing the press conference, Rajasthan Water Sources Minister Suresh Rawat said that in demand of money for royalty charges on water, CM Mann has demonstrated his British psyche.
Rawat said, "Provision of payment on water charges or royalty has never been part of an inter-state water agreement. May it be the 1955, 1959 or the 1985 interstate water agreements, none have talked of this payment.
