Jaipur, Oct. 21 -- Rajasthan is set to emerge as an e-bus manufacturing hub with the establishment of a state-of-the-art factory involving an investment of Rs 1,200 crore.

The project will be located in the Ghiloth Industrial Area of the Behror-Neemrana towns along the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. The Rajasthan Industries and Investment Corporation (RIICO) allotted a 65-acre plot to PMI Electro-Mobility Solutions Private Limited for the plant.

A Chief Minister's Office (CMO) spokesman stated that this is the first e-bus manufacturing unit in the state and will usher in an era of zero-emission transport. The factory will produce electric vehicles for service launch or expansion, both in Rajasthan and other parts of the country.
