Jodhpur, Nov. 3 -- At least 15 persons were killed and 3 gravely injured in a collision between a Tempo Traveller and a stationary truck near Matoda in Phalodi district of Rajasthan on Sunday evening.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr Prem Chand Bairwa said 15 persons have died on the spot in the accident.
Sitting MLA from Soorsagar, Devendra Joshi put the toll at 18.
The ill fated tempoo traver was bringing back Jodhpur (Mathania) devotees after Holy Dip on auspicious day of Ekadashi at Kolayat dham in Bikaner district when it rammed into the stationary truck near Matoda on the Bharatmala Highway in Phalodi district. Most of the victims were from Soorsagar (Jodhpur).
