Jaipur, Oct. 27 -- Six members of a gang of cyber fraudsters (hackers) were arrested by the Jhalawar police today for swindling money from various centres of Rajasthan Government-run welfare schemes, officials said.
The fraudsters allegedly created unauthorised IDs of the scheme's state and district nodal offices and transferred money into fake bank accounts of fictitious beneficiaries.
Mohammad Laik, an operator in the state nodal office of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, was a key operative, Superintendent of Police, Jhalawar, Amit Kumar said.
Besides, Laik (Jaipur), Subhash (Delhi), Rohit Kumar and Sandeep Sharma (Punjab), Mohammed Shahid Khan (Bharatpur), and the main handler Sunant Sharma have been arrested.
