Jaipur, Feb. 22 -- The Rajasthan Assembly today witnessed prolonged heated verbal exchanges and pandemonium that forced two adjournments and made Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to deliver reply in the absence of the Opposition.

The flash point in proceeding of the House arose when the Chair called for debate on the comparative performance by BJP and Congress in carrying out development works in 2 years of the present BJP regime and the 5-year term of the previous Congress led government.

However, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Joga Ram Patel moved the motion for debating only the development and fulfillment of the poll promises during BJP regime's 2 years.
