Chennai, Nov. 14 -- The Raj Bhavan, Tamil Nadu today proudlycommemorated the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Dr. BhupenHazarika.
It was commemorated in collaboration with the South Zone CulturalCentre (SZCC), Thanjavur and Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai underthe aegis of union Ministry of Culture.
The celebrations, scheduled till November 16 commenced with aninaugural function led by union Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan.
The valedictory event on November 16 at Rugmini Arangam in theKalakshetra Foundation premises will be presided over by GovernorR.N. Ravi.
