Mumbai, June 1 -- Raising a series of long-pending concerns related to the Muslim community, Samajwadi Party MLA Rais Shaikh has urged Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar to urgently fill 406 vacant posts in the State Minority Development Department, stating that prolonged vacancies have severely affected the implementation of several welfare schemes.
In a detailed letter addressed to the Deputy Chief Minister, Shaikh also called for swift action on multiple pending proposals, including strengthening the Minority Research and Training Institute and expediting the Urdu Ghar project in Bhiwandi.
