Raipur, Aug. 9 -- The Raipur Central Jail administration is preparing to introduce a new initiative aimed at engaging inmates in employment-oriented activities and supporting their rehabilitation.
Under the plan, food prepared by inmates at the jail's Aastha Canteen and Cafe Centre will be made available to the public through food packets named 'Jail Ki Roti'.
The initiative is scheduled to begin in August. In the initial phase, the jail will prepare only 30 packets a day, with each packet priced at Rs 275. The meals will be prepared by inmates within the jail premises.
Those wishing to purchase a 'Jail Ki Roti' packet will have to make a booking at the Aastha Canteen.
