Chandigarh, June 22 -- Thunderstorms, gusty winds and isolated rainfall brought temporary relief to parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and Chandigarh during the past 24 hours, but the respite may not last long as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast limited rainfall activity and a gradual rise in temperatures across the region in the coming days.
According to the IMD, thunderstorms occurred at isolated places over Haryana and Punjab, while gusty winds were reported at many places in both states. Hailstorms were also recorded at isolated locations in Punjab.
The IMD's seven-day forecast indicates that Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi are likely to witness only isolated rainfall activity from June 22 to June 26. Thereaft...
