Colombo, Oct. 24 -- Rain forced the 25th match of the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 between Sri Lanka Women and Pakistan Women at the R Premadasa Stadium to end without a result here today.
Pakistan had reached 18 for no loss in 4.2 overs when play was stopped. Omaima Sohail remained unbeaten on 9 off 9 balls and Muneeba Ali was on 7 from 17 deliveries.
Sri Lanka had earlier won the toss and opted to bowl. Malki Madara conceded just 3 runs in 2.2 overs, while Sugandika Kumari gave away 15 runs in her two overs.
This marks the third rain-affected Pakistan match in the tournament, after their fixture against England was washed out and only 25 overs were possible against New Zealand.
