Panchkula, Aug. 31 -- Rainy conditions are likely to persist across northwest India until September 5, with the India Meteorological Department predicting scattered rain over Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Delhi,while heavier showers are expected in the western Himalayan region.

According to the IMD's All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued on Monday morning, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab are likely to receive isolated to scattered rain from August 31 to September 5.

Rainfall is expected to remain isolated on August 31 before becoming more scattered from September 1. However, the IMD has not issued any heavy rainfall warning for Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh or Delhi during the period.
