Mumbai, March 28 -- The intense summer heat has left Mumbaikars struggling over the past two days, with temperatures soaring significantly.

On Friday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 37.1degC, intensifying discomfort among residents. The rising heat is expected to continue over the weekend, making it a particularly hot Saturday and Sunday for the city, said India Meteorological Department here on Saturday.

According to senior meteorologist Krishnanand Hosalikar, Mumbai's maximum temperature is likely to remain elevated for the next two to three days.
