New Delhi, July 27 -- Rain lashed several parts of Delhi on Monday evening, slowing vehicular movement and adding to the travel woes of office-goers during the evening rush hour.
Bumper-to-bumper traffic was reported from several stretches across the city, including India Gate and RK Puram, as reduced visibility disrupted traffic flow.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded 19.4 mm of rainfall at Ridge between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, the highest in the city during the day and falling in the "moderate" rainfall category.
Other weather stations also recorded showers, including Lodhi Road (11.5 mm), Safdarjung (8 mm), and Rajghat (6.9 mm).
