New Delhi, Aug. 2 -- Light rain lashed parts of Delhi today, offering brief relief from the humid weather and helping the city maintain its cleanest air, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast more showers over the coming days.
Several parts of the capital received light rainfall during the day. Ayanagar recorded the highest rainfall among the city's main observatories with 6.8 mm between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, followed by Ridge (3 mm) and Lodhi Road (0.4 mm). In the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am, Ridge received 14.4 mm of rain, while Ayanagar recorded 4.2 mm, Lodhi Road 3.2 mm, Safdarjung 1 mm and Palam 0.4 mm, according to IMD data.
