Panchkula, Sept. 11 -- The Railway Board has revised its Catering Policy, bringing the allotment of static catering units at all categories of railway stations under the prevailing e-auction system and prescribing fresh eligibility and financial conditions for General Minor Units (GMUs) at A1, A, B and C category stations and milk stalls at all categories of stations.
The Board said the provisions of the Catering Policy, 2017, governing allotment of minor static catering units has been reviewed. It referred to its instructions of April 2, 2025, under which all commercial contracts are to be awarded only through e-auction.
