Panchkula, July 30 -- The Railway Board will now include ministerial vacancies from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) Security Department in the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) overseen by the Personnel Department.
This expansion offers broader promotional prospects for ministerial staff in the Security Department. The announcement was issued to all Zonal Railways and Production Units by an order dated July 29, 2026.
Building on the April 1, 2025 clarification that allowed Zonal Railways to advertise the 20% LDCE quota for Office Superintendent (Level-6) roles in the RPF ministerial cadre, the Railway Board has now broadened the scope.
