New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- In a significant development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has interrogated BJP member K. Vignesh Shishir as part of a Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) investigation.
The questioning is linked to a petition filed by Shishir in the Allahabad High Court, where he has made serious allegation that senior opposition leader Rahul Gandhi is a British citizen and is therefore disqualified from holding elected office.
Before entering the ED office for questioning, Shishir addressed the press, stating that he had been summoned by the agency and intended to comply.
