Ramanagara, Feb. 22 -- The issue of parliamentary voice and democratic debate came into focus as Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said it was unfortunate that Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had not been given adequate opportunity to discuss several subjects of public importance in Parliament.

Shivakumar said on Saturday that Gandhi has been raising key economic and policy concerns affecting farmers, businesses and broader supply chains. He said the opposition leader has been speaking on trade tariffs and their impact on multiple sectors of the economy, noting that such policies can influence export competitiveness, domestic manufacturing and rural livelihoods.
