Ranchi, May 22 -- Former Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das has written to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, seeking urgent measures to improve electricity supply and address power-related problems across the state.

In his letter, Das said consumers in both urban and rural areas were facing irregular power supply, low voltage, frequent transformer failures and inadequate consumer services. He said the situation had become more difficult amid the ongoing summer heat.

Das claimed that power infrastructure was significantly strengthened during his government's tenure between 2014 and 2019 through expansion of transmission and distribution networks, establishment of grid substations and electrification of households.
