Patna, Oct. 11 -- Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan today said that Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan or JP, as he was fondly called, was not only a freedom fighter but also the conscience keeper of Indian democracy who placed the nation above self, values above power, and people above politics.
After offering floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan at the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Memorial on his 123rd birth anniversary at his ancestral village,Sitab Diara, in Saran district of Bihar, Radhakrishnan said that JP was one of the tallest leaders, a true people's hero, and a tireless crusader for justice and democracy.
