Buenos Aires, Feb. 15 -- Marco Di Cesare and Adrian Martinez scored first-half goals as Racing eased to a 2-0 away win over Banfield in Argentina's Primera Division.

Racing opened the scoring when Banfield goalkeeper Facundo Sanguinetti parried Tomas Conechny's header into the path of Di Cesare, who drilled the rebound in at the near poston Saturday.

Martinez doubled his side's lead on the stroke of halftime by converting a penalty following Tiziano Perrotta's handball, according to Xinhua news.

The hosts managed just two shots on target as Racing secured its second straight win, rising to seventh in Group B with six points. Banfield is 13th, two points further back.
