Lucknow, Aug. 12 -- The BJP has hit back at Samajwadi Party (SP) General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav over his questions surrounding the road accident death of Aban Ahmed, son of late mafia don Atiq Ahmed.

BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi on Wednesday accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) of being sympathetic to mafias and criminals, alleging that they enjoyed political protection during the SP regime in Uttar Pradesh. He contrasted the law and order situation with the Yogi government, which he said that BJP government has adopted a strict strict zero-tolerance policy towards crime.
