Moscow, Sept. 5 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a three-day pause in strikes on Kyiv ahead of talks with senior US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who arrived in Moscow on Saturday.
The talks are expected to focus on efforts to end the war in Ukraine. Witkoff and Kushner are also due to travel to Kyiv after their meetings in Moscow, where they are expected to meet Putin.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday that Putin had ordered Russian forces not to carry out strikes on Kyiv for three days from midnight.
