Bhubaneswar, Aug. 12 -- The Odisha Government has decided to initiate a series of measures for the comprehensive development and security of Puri's Govardhan Peeth, besides promoting the spiritual and cultural heritage associated with Lord Jagannath.
A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi here on Wednesday reviewed various issues concerning the Peeth, including protection of its properties, security and development.
The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on the daily 'Sandhya Mahodadhi Arati' held on the beach near Swargadwar. He directed the administration to beautify the Arati site and make the evening ritual more elaborate. He also called for developing the entire Puri beach as a grand spiritual beach. To r...
