Chandigarh, Feb. 21 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that his government will present a "public-friendly" state budget in the Legislative Assembly on March 8.

Speaking to the media during his visit to Gujarat, the Chief Minister provided an early assurance that the upcoming fiscal roadmap would be devoid of any new financial burdens on the citizenry. He explicitly stated that the Punjab government has no intention of introducing new taxes or increasing existing tax rates in the forthcoming budget.
