Chandigarh, Nov. 21 -- The Punjab government has suspended PCS officer Gurvinder Singh Johal, posted as Regional Transport Officer (RTO) in Ropar, over alleged delay in providing buses for a light-and-sound show during the Shaheedi programme of Guru Tegh Bahadur.
Officials claimed that arrangements were required to ensure smooth travel for visitors attending the commemorative event at Sri Anandpur Sahib.
According to the suspension order, Johal has been relieved from duty with immediate effect under the provisions of the Punjab Civil Services rules.
