Chandigarh, Oct. 7 -- Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has returned to the state after an international tour during which he attended the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in South Africa and held meetings with Punjabi and Sikh diaspora communities in several countries, his office said on Wednesday.
The tour included engagements in Germany, Malaysia, South Africa and Canada, with discussions focusing on investment and employment opportunities in Punjab, industrial and trade cooperation, international flight connectivity and greater participation of the Punjabi diaspora in the state's development. Sandhwan also studied parliamentary systems, democratic frameworks and legislative practices during the visit.
