Neeraj BaliChandigarh, Sept. 1 -- Punjab on Tuesday reshuffled its police leadership in six districts, transferring 20 officers in a move that saw Bathinda SSP Jyoti Yadav shifted to the Punjab Armed Police and the SSPs of Patiala and SAS Nagar swapped.

The Home Department issued two transfer orders covering eight IPS and 12 Punjab Police Service officers. The changes affect Bathinda, Mansa, Patiala, SAS Nagar, Pathankot and Malerkotla, besides several senior field and headquarters assignments.

Yadav, a 2019-batch IPS officer and wife of Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, has been transferred from Bathinda as Commandant of the 82nd Battalion, Punjab Armed Police, Chandigarh.
