Chandigarh, Aug. 31 -- Punjab Police conducted raids at 324 locations across all 28 districts in the state, arresting 68 drug smugglers and registering 46 FIRs, on the 183rd day of the "Yudh Nashian Virudh" (anti-drug campaign) today.

The operation, directed by DGP Gaurav Yadav, led to the seizure of 3.9 kg of heroin, 2.5 kg of opium, 962 intoxicant tablets/capsules, and Rs 2 lakh in drug money.

Over 900 police personnel in 100 teams, supervised by 70 gazetted officers, checked 356 suspicious individuals during the day-long operation.
